Three cadets and a memeber of staff left Ipswich for RAF Honington on a sunny Saturday morning for a day of target shooting.

They joined cadets from other Squadrons making up Norfolk & Suffolk Wing to refine their shooting skills on the No.8 .22 Rifle and the L98 5.56 Rifle (The cadets version of the British armed forces L85).

Cadets Ellis, Keeble and Mulley from the Squadron all got the opportunity to fire 20 rounds on the No.8 Rifle and where also fortunate enough to receive some rounds on the L98 in the afternoon, after completing some weapons handling training.

The cadets had a great day and although they didn’t gain enough points to be awarded the marksmanship badge, they did show great improvement.
