Royal Air Force in Concert

This evening saw the Squadron once again assisting the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust in bringing to the Regent Theatre Ipswich the Bands of the RAF in this years highlights tour.

The Squadron has the honour every year in helping out by selling programmes of the event and flags for the crowds of onlooks to wave during some of the classics played in the latter part of the second halves performance.

The evenings compere was Ian Lavendar, who some of us older ones will remember as Pike from Dads Army and more recently his roll in Eastenders. He done a sterling job of introducing and getting the audience to there feet and singing along.

The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust is a non-profit making organisation with the Air Cadets being the single biggest benefactor, so it was great to be able to offer assistance this year as we have in previous years and hope for many more to come.
