Race for Life is a 5KM charity run held at various places all over Britain during the summer to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK, the money raised goes towards people with cancer, their families and new treatments.

188 (Ipswich) Squadron were on hand to set up the promotional paraphernalia, marshal the 2000 plus runners around the course set up in Chantry Park and help tidy up afterwards.  Although it’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed the event, particularly the amusing costumes some chose to run in.

The Squadron will also be helping out at the Race for Life event in Bury St Edmunds on the 27 June 2010 and will be helping out on the 7 July 2010 at Trinity Park Ipswich for the evening race.
